First Day of Summer BBQ!

The first day of summer should always be celebrated with a yummy BBQ feast! So with a new BBQ grill on the patio that is just what I did!

I decided to take on ribs for the first time with a recipe that was as easy as this!
Slather the ribs in chili paste, top with smoked paprika and good coarse salt and then pour 100% apple juice in the bottom of the pan. Cover with foil and throw it into the oven at 300˚ for an hour. Pull the rack of ribs out of the oven and put them on a preheated grill and smear BBQ sauce all over them. Cook all the way through and while the ribs are cooking the BBQ sauce will get a nice char on it too!

Dan rocking the hot pink silicon hot mit, which I love, him not so much!

We paired our ribs with corn on the cob with cilantro butter and portobello mushrooms with garlic and fresh parsley butter. A perfect evening on the back patio... I can't wait for more BBQ this season!
